Our meditation classes are suitable for both beginners and those experienced in Open Heart Meditation. Each class is self-contained so you can come along to try a session. All our Open Heart Meditation classes are about learning more about our heart by doing Open Heart Meditation and Heart Guided Meditation.

If you live too far from a local meditation group then you can join us freely online at our online meditation group or practice on your own with our free meditation downloads or with your friends using our heart guided meditation scripts that we make use of at all our Open Heart Meditation group meetings.

The general structure of a typical Open Heart Meditation class:

  • Introduction talk about Open Heart Meditation for beginners
  • Preparation for meditation - Heart Strengthening and Feeling exercise
  • One session of Open Heart Meditation - 25 minutes
  • Individual heart guided meditation/exercises in pairs - 10 minutes each
  • Feedback and Q&A session about the meditation

About our Open Heart Meditation classes

We believe that our meditation classes offer a good balance of brief instruction and plenty of practice. You will have the opportunity to share your experiences related to opening your heart and can ask any related questions. We meditate sitting on chairs or on a cushion cross legged whichever is more comfortable for you.

Our classes focus on the heart through group meditation with Open Heart Meditation and also individual guided meditation done in pairs or small groups we call Heart Guided Meditation. Learning about the heart with an experienced meditation group helps you to open your heart more easily because you can get individual support and feedback.

Open Heart Meditation is a wonderful tool to open your heart, so that you can feel more of the peacefulness, joy and happiness within your heart by letting go of all of your stress in a most enjoyable way. There is no limit as to how open your heart can be, so whether you are a beginner, or you already have an open heart, you can continue to benefit.

After doing Open Heart Meditation in the group, we also teach and help guide individually with heart guided meditation so you can feel your heart more deeply and easily. You can also learn how to be a meditation guide so you can help guide others to feel their own heart more.

In each class we provide simple instructions for heart guided meditation which you are free to download and use. While helping others as a heart meditation guide many people have reported feeling their own hearts even more than when they are doing the meditation on their own. This is because as we naturally use our heart and feelings to help guide someone we also can feel our hearts more easily since we are focused on helping others instead of ourselves.

We support our local meditation groups to conveniently meditate regularly together without needing lots of time, travel or expense by using our free online Meditation groups using free Skype Internet conference software and with our own www.open-your-heart.net server which runs regular online meditation groups and hosts free intro classes for the public.
